Woman Who Fell Through UES Sidewalk Credits Her Size With Saving Her Life

Williams, 32, who weighs 400 pounds, was released from NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital on Saturday. She fell through the sidewalk near Atomic Winds and the Blue Room on the corner of 60th Street and 2nd Avenue while waiting for the bus.

Woman Falls Through Sidewalk Grate On Upper East Side

The woman had been standing on the sidewalk in front of an Atomic Wings restaurant waiting for a bus when she backed up to get out of the rain and went straight down through a metal grate, FDNY officials said.
