A man who recently pleaded guilty to faking his own death was in trouble again this week – this time for impersonating a police officer and trying to kidnap women in Nassau County.
Gilberto Valle, 28, is a married, six-year veteran of the force assigned to the 26th Precinct. He is accused of planning to kidnap, cook and eat — as many as 100 women. Investigators said his meticulous plan included the intentional torture of his victims.
The child pulled away from the man who tried to grab her arm a second time and pull her toward him. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477).
John Velasquez said he saw the suspect, described as a man in his 50′s with a thick grey and white beard and mustache, grabbing the boy in front of P.S. 160 in the Bronx and intervened because he had a “gut feeling.”
The incident happened Friday morning around 7 a.m. The suspect, a man in his 50′s, approached a 6-year-old boy in front of 4140 Hutchinson River Parkway and told him to come with him to his house.
