Police On Long Island Report Rash Of Auto Thefts From Driveways

It has happened five times since Jan. 1 – cars being stolen from driveways in Nassau County. Three cars were stolen in West Hempstead, one from Carle Place, and a fifth from Roosevelt.


Thieves on Long Island have been tailing UPS, FedEx and U.S. Postal Service drivers and stealing packages shortly after they've been delivered, police said.
