Davy Jones, the lead singer of the 1960s group The Monkees, died of a massive heart attack Wednesday in Florida just 11 days after performing in New York City. The former heartthrob played at the B.B. King Blues Club and Grill on February 18.
On stage, he’s a rock star, playing the part of George Harrison. Backstage and behind the scenes, however, he’s 58-year-old Mark Vaccacio, and he’s dying from terminal colon cancer.
