Spring Valley Mother Who Strangled Newborn Sentenced To 12 Years In Prison

A young mother who admitted strangling her newborn son and leaving his body in a recycling container outside a convenience store has been sentenced to 12 years in prison and deportation.

Mother Charged With Murder In ‘Baby Angel’ Case

Maria Oliva Guaman-Guaman was arrested Tuesday in Spring Valley. Police Chief Paul Modica said the 23-year-old woman strangled her newborn son last month.
