Police: Queens Man Charged With Impersonating Cop To Scam Jewelry Stores

According to police, Brian Harrington told the clerks at Rafael’s in Hewlett and Gulgattie Jewelry at the Tri Count Flea Market in Levittown that he was a police officer who lost his debit card, so the clerks let him write out checks totaling more than $5,200.

Hamptons Con Woman Arraigned In Court

Seventeen aliases later and an accused Hamptons con woman had been caught. Suffolk County Prosecutor Jodi Franzese said Nydia Vega has been scamming people for more than 30 years.
