In the first segment, Madden gave his take on the A-Rod suspension and made some claims about what was initially offered to the slugger and how the process played out. In the second part of the interview, however, things got heated.
“If (A-Rod’s team is) going to fight this thing like they claim they’re going to,” Madden told WFAN radio, “then it’s going to get very ugly.”
Seriously? Could the Steinbrenner family really consider selling The Boss’ beloved franchise? “We don’t just talk to people on the street,” an emphatic Madden told Boomer Esiason and Craig Carton.
