Giants Miss Playoffs, Coughlin Likely To Return In 2014

The New York Giants missed the playoffs for the second year in a row, compiling a 7-9 record in 2013. It was only the second losing record under the leadership of Tom Coughlin as Giants head coach, who took command of the team in 2004. Jacobs Goes To IR, JPP Remains Out As Giants Tackle Seahawks

New York Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul has endured a season that he would like to forget, and the former All-Pro defensive end will miss his third straight contest with an injured shoulder this week. The G-men also placed veteran running back Brandon Jacobs on injured reserve on Wednesday, ending his season. The visiting Seattle Seahawks will be missing starting linebacker K.J. Wright as they seek to cement the top seed in the NFC playoffs.
