Connecticut House Speaker Brendan Sharkey said the popular video game, “Call Of Duty,” features the Bushmaster AR-15 semi-automatic rifle – the same assault weapon used by Adam Lanza in the Sandy Hook assacre that left 20 first graders and six educators dead.
The House voted 89-53, with eight lawmakers not voting, to pass the bill. The vote came nearly a week after the state Senate approved the legislation.
A proposal in Connecticut to expand access to driver’s licenses to immigrants regardless of their legal status has received the support of the governor, legislative leaders and mayors from across the state.
The governor’s office announced plans to release updated budget projections on Nov. 20 but has already ruled out any further tax hikes.
