Tankleff’s legal odyssey will take another dramatic turn this weekend when at age 42 he’ll become Martin Tankleff ESQ., earning a law degree from Touro Law Center.
Jonathan Lopez, 22, did not speak as the judge handed down the sentence. Lopez was acquitted at trial of manslaughter but found guilty of assault and reckless endangerment after prosecutors said he was drag racing on the Southern State Parkway in September 2011.

William Flanagan has been sentenced to 60 days in jail and three months of community service. His attorney said he will appeal the conviction.
