Police on Tuesday were asking for help from the public in finding a suspect connected to five burglaries, and one attempted burglary, on the Upper East Side.

The woman, who asked not to be identified by name, called 911 after she heard the suspects in her Garfield home Wednesday afternoon.

Someone broke into the Merrick Avenue home through a basement window and then left through the front door between 10:30 a.m. and 2:05 p.m. Monday, police said.
