Pumps Now Working At Harlem Sewage Plant; Beaches Could Open Soon

New York City health officials hope to lift advisories at some area beaches forced to close due to a massive sewage spill in the Hudson River.

Raw Sewage Flowing Into Hudson River Following Fire At Harlem Treatment Plant

Engineers are working around the clock to get the minimum of two out of the five engines up and running at the North River Waste Water Treatment Plant. Until then, raw sewage is bypassing the plant and going straight into the river.

With Summer Heat, New York City Cracking Down On Open Hydrants

On 167th Street, even the the youngest in the spray from a sprinkler-capped hydrant say they know you shouldn’t open the hydrant full-blast in the heat.
