The Liberty Academy Charter School in the Heights section of Jersey City is among three charter schools the state has ordered closed by year’s end.
Walcott said he believes in “the expansion of charters throughout our system in all neighborhoods.”
Three of the new schools will be located in Camden and two are in Newark. The other three charters will be in Vineland, Trenton and Jersey City.
