Man Becomes First In NYS To Be Charged With Aggravated Vehicular Homicide In A Boat

The speedboat slammed into a fishing boat around 4:50 a.m., killing 39-year-old Christopher Mannino, of West Islip, Suffolk County District Attorney Thomas Spota said.

N.Y. Legislators Push For Tougher Drunken Boating Laws

“Christopher Mannino, you were my world. I was so lucky to have your children. I don’t have you now because a selfish careless person found it necessary to be intoxicated on the water and take your life,” Mannino’s widow said Thursday.
