Community Board: West Village Cafés Are Offering Sidewalk Dining Illegally

Members of Manhattan Community Board 2 on Sunday were frustrated at city officials’ lack of answers as to why several West Village sidewalk cafés have been allowed to operate illegally.

NYC Parks Department Lifts Ban On Live Music Near Fountains, Monuments

The parks department had been cracking down on musicians playing near monuments and park benches, but the ban has been lifted, and it’s music to the ears of those in Washington Square Park, WCBS 880′s Alex Silverman reported.
