Federal officials say New Jersey Governor Chris Christie knew the Garden State would have to repay federal funds spent on the canceled Hudson River rail tunnel.
In the end, it was all about dollars and cents.
Speaking after a campaign rally in Mount Laurel with Republican congressional candidate Jon Runyan, Christie said any decision he comes to will be made with the state’s taxpayers in mind.
Gov. Christie will take at least the weekend to decide whether to continue the biggest public works project under way in America: a new rail tunnel connecting New Jersey and New York City.
