Building Collapses After Massive Jersey City Blaze

The fire broke out just before 12:30 a.m Friday on Central Avenue and spread to two other buildings, destroying a passport shop, a party supply store and half a dozen apartments.

Capt. Gregory Barnas, a 25-year veteran firefighter, was found unconscious as the Wallington Fire Department was fighting a fire at the Akaska Japanese restaurant.
