AT&T Inc. said it had agreed to buy T-Mobile USA for $39 billion. If approved by regulators, the deal would close about a year from now.
Quest, which is headquartered in Madison, N.J., said the boards of directors for both companies have approved the deal, which is expected to close at the end of next month.
Mack has not been charged with anything and there are no indications that he or his campaign is being investigated.
