A tweet has brought together a 9-year-old hearing-challenged New Jersey girl, and a Seattle Seahawks star who faces a similar challenge.
A large replica of Anthony’s jersey will be unveiled in the rafters of the Dome alongside nine other previously-retired uniforms. Anthony, now a star for the Knicks, will be presented a framed jersey during a halftime celebration.
“My message to them is, goodbye,” Christie said. “You don’t want to stay, we don’t want you.”
The Nets will say goodbye to New Jersey on Monday night, though it seems three of their top stars from the Garden State era won’t be at the ceremony.
