Bridgeton Police Chief Mark Ott said Ralph Peter Jamison was arrested Friday and charged with the death of Quantasia Bessix in Bridgeton on Aug. 11.
Ada Lopez, 70, survived a drive-by shooting that left her with three bullet wounds.
Gloria Johnson was taken to Brookdale University Hospital on Wednesday afternoon, where she is listed in stable condition. She is expected to make a full recovery.
The autopsy report was released late last week after a security hold was lifted.
“The car went by and took a couple of shots, eight or nine shots,” owner Neil Erickson said. “One went through the window, it didn’t hit anybody inside.”
The shooting happened near the intersection of Rockaway and Riverdale avenues just after 7 p.m. Sunday as several children were outside playing on the street.
