After the one-two punch of Superstorm Sandy and the nor’easter, many homeowners are on the hunt for supplies and repair work. But some customers complained that vendors are showing no pity — and unreasonably raised their prices.
As communities continue to recover in the wake of superstorm Sandy, Con Edison is distributing dry ice at seven locations in Brooklyn, the Bronx, Queens, Staten Island and Westchester County to those who remain without power.
Con Edison said it will distribute both dry and wet ice at six locations to customers without power due to superstorm Sandy.
The driver of the truck was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Police said he lost control when another car cut him off.
