Raritan Bay Oyster Colony To Expand

The project, being run by Rutgers University and the New York/New Jersey Baykeeper group, is designed to re-establish the once-plentiful shellfish in Raritan Bay to help improve the bay’s water quality.

NJ DEP Gives OK To Baykeeper Oyster Project In Raritan Bay

State officials said Monday that the NY/NJ Baykeeper can go ahead with plans to establish an oyster colony at a protected pier at the Earle Naval Weapons Station in Monmouth County.
