Report: Nearly 100 Nassau County Police Officers Accept Early Retirement Deals

In addition to the 98 officers, 51 civilian members of the Civil Service Employees Association also accepted a separate deal, according to a report. Collectively, the moves are estimated to save Nassau County more than $20 million a year.

Study: Early Retirement Can Lead To Decline In Brain Function

New research has found a link between early retirement and a decline in memory and brain function. The basis of the study was a simple memory test, given in 13 countries to people 50 and older.
