Among other individual counts, the officers — Michael Dotro, Victor Aravena, William Gesell and Brian Favretto — all face conspiracy and official misconduct charges.
Edison Police Sgt. Andrew Chupela’s neighbor, Thomas DeRienzo, filed a complaint on Super Bowl Sunday that said Chupela spent nearly three hours at home during the game while his cruiser remained idling in the driveway.
Despite that officers are supposed to be protecting and serving, it’s alleged that one Edison, N.J. police sergeant parked his police cruiser outside his house and watched the Super Bowl inside.
