Matthew Zeno and his friend were walking north on the southbound G line roadbed at the Union Avenue and Broadway station around 3:10 a.m. when he inadvertently made contact with the third rail and was electrocuted, police said.
First Assistant Monmouth County Prosecutor Richard Incremona said that the man died while doing work on Daum Road in Manalapan.
The man is identified as 45-year-old Ed Bradley from Staten Island. Bradley is the father of three children. He may have come into contact with live wires.
