The Food and Drug Administration has issued warning letters to four manufacturers of alcoholic energy drinks, saying the caffeine added to their beverages is an “unsafe food additive.”
Teenagers have been sickened and intoxicated after a buying a boozy beverage that looks like an energy drink. There has since been a crackdown, a joint investigation in Westchester, and a warning to parents about the products.
