The school year has begun, and Debra Palmer’s fifth-grade class is learning the usual subjects. There’s some math, some English – and of course, the kids will also design their own underwater robots.
In addition to the cities themselves, the kids have also been coming up with interactive devices, including an anti-collision car aimed at improving transportation.
Students with an engineering degree from a college or university in New York State may find a financial helping hand under a proposal now under design.
