Officials in a Long Island town said this week that they have to scare off invasive Canada geese, and now must resort to euthanasia.
A family in Belle Harbor, Queens, was happy to report Sunday that their dog was back home alive and well, after being rescued just in time.

Hundreds of kittens, puppies, cats and dogs were put up for adoption in the 3rd Annual Adoptapalooza in Washington Square Park on Saturday.
The shelter said that a couple came to meet the dog for a possible adoption and walked out of the building when no one was looking.
