The search continues for two men who police say are pretending to be cops to steal from innocent victims on Staten Island.
Police on Tuesday released photos of two suspects who allegedly pretended to by police officers and demanded payoffs for a “violation” at the Times Square-42nd Street subway station.
According to a report, the trio of police impersonators may have been wearing expensive, whole-head, Hollywood-style masks. If so, that means police may not know the ethnicities of the robbers.
Most bandits looking to conceal their identities hide behind masks. Police say these robbers hid behind shields. They struck a check cashing store on Valentine’s Day.
