It’s time the 2nd, 3rd and 4th lines did some work. The John Tavares line and the power play can only get it done for so long. The Islanders are going to need some contributions from the rest of the squad if they are going to win games.

Andrew MacDonald and Frans Nielsen scored first-period goals and the New York Islanders hung on for a 2-1 victory over the Minnesota Wild on Monday despite a lackluster final two periods.
