A man was struck and killed by a garbage truck Wednesday in Newark, authorities said.
Few details are known, but crews were forced to climb on top of the truck and use metal saws to open it up and get water inside.
Police on Wednesday were asking the public to help them find two suspects who allegedly burglarized a Brooklyn deli – taking advantage of a massive hole in the wall that was created when a garbage truck crashed into the building.
Police said a Metropolitan Recycling truck and another vehicle collided and the truck driver lost control, ending up inside the deli.
Homeowner Sandra Guillame was getting her kids ready for school at the time, police said. They were not injured.

Police said the driver of the SUV, who appeared to be drunk, went through a stop sign at the intersection of 20th Avenue and 61 Street, hitting the garbage truck head-on.
