New York State Lawmaker To Hold Hearing On Trucks Driving Illegally On Parkways

State Sen. Charles Fuschillo said the truck strikes have cost taxpayers $7 million on Long Island alone. He has announced plans to hold a hearing on the issue at Farmingdale State College to try to solve the issue.

Sen. Schumer Calls For National GPS Standards Following Uptick In Trucks Hitting Bridges

Increasingly, Schumer said, trucks have been directed onto roads where they are not allowed by the devices. The problem can be corrected by programming GPS devices for trucks only, Schumer said.
