A private school teacher surrendered to police in Greenwich, Conn. On Tuesday, following allegations that he’d had sexual contact with a child at the school.
The robber carried out a bold daytime heist at the People’s United Bank just a half a block from the Metro-North station before 5 p.m. on Wednesday.
In the latest scam, Greenwich police said the victim received a call from someone posing as her grandson telling her he was in an auto accident and needed bail money.
Boaters can expect extra police patrols. Greenwich police will make stops on the water and at checkpoints from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. each day from June 28-30.
