Rallies Take Place In Hempstead, Hartford In Support Of Trayvon Martin

Activists in Hartford are holding a rally today to call for justice in the killing of Trayvon Martin by a neighborhood watch volunteer. A rally is also taking place in Hempstead on Long Island in support of the victim.

He was “the man” before the term was used in professional sports. He was John Mackey, the end all, be all Hall of Famer. He was the prototype tight end who died on July 7th at the age of 69 of dementia.

NY Man Convicted In Decades-Old Killing

Joey Bethea was found guilty of murder in the strangulation of 22-year-old Dorothy LeConte, of North Bergen, N.J. She was visiting relatives on Long Island.
