New York-Presbyterian Hospital released a statement saying the 91-year-old ex-diplomat was “resting comfortably” following the procedure on Tuesday.
The hospital announced on Wednesday that the Nobel Peace Prize winner was discharged on Tuesday but did not release any other information.
Kissinger, 89, was admitted to the hospital for observation and is expected to be discharged later today, according to a statement from the hospital.
The former Secretary of State said it’s “not unusual” for him to be patted down during airport security screenings.
