The iconic Macy’s flagship store in Herald Square reopened Saturday morning, as an investigation into a fire at the store continued.
A busy Friday night of shopping at Macy’s in Herald Square was interrupted by blaring fire alarms. A basement fire at the flagship store forced everyone to evacuate.
Their patrol cars have the words “Courtesy, Professionalism, Respect” painted on them but one city street vendor claims that he has received the opposite treatment from an NYPD officer.
For the first time ever, Macy’s will open most of its stores across the country on Thanksgiving Day this year.
“It honestly was tougher than I ever imagined it to be,” the 64-year-old Nyad said as she emerged from the pool at 8:48 a.m. Thursday. “I thought compared to these long, ultra-swims in the ocean this would be somewhat easy and it was a bear.”
