A homeowner in Holmdel, New Jersey woke up to find a burglar in her home – and police believe she may not have been the only target that night.
The incident started at around 10 a.m. Tuesday morning. Police officers blocked off entrances to the school.
Police responding to a report of a hostage in Upper Freehold Township discovered it was a hoax.
As parents anxiously waited outside the school, they got the news that is was all a prank. “We are 99.99 percent it is just a hoax,” an official announced to the crowd.

All of the students have been accounted for and school officials were working to send them home, according to school officials. A technological glitch delayed the school’s ability to send out an alert to parents.
Police said the woman was approached at around 10 p.m. Thursday while she helped a friend shovel snow.
