Clarkin, one of the team’s three draft picks in the opening round, has agreed to a slot-money deal worth $1,650,100, WFAN and CBSSports.com insider Jon Heyman reported.
On a conference call Friday, Clarkin said he was sorry. He said the remarks were taken out of context and meant to tease his mother, a Yankees fan.
Aaron Judge toured Yankee Stadium with eight other prospects Thursday and daydreamed about roaming the outfield there someday. After being drafted in the first round by the Yankees, that could become a reality in a few years.
