A burglar came face-to-face with a child when he burst into a home on Long Island over the weekend.
A suspected burglar was in police custody in Bergen County, New Jersey on Thursday evening, after police said he was found hiding under a child’s bed.
Police in New Jersey said Friday that they have caught the intruder who triggered lockdowns at two schools.
“This person came over, yelled ‘I am having an emergency. I am your neighbor’,” said 84-year-old Mary Dicke.
Albany schoolteacher David Park was killed in March when he turned up in the man’s Amherst home at 1:30 a.m. Police say Park was drunk and had been attending a party next door.
