One year ago, four people were shot and killed by a man trying to steal prescription drugs from a pharmacy in Medford. Today, friends and family of those victims came together to remember the lives that tragically ended in an instant.
“He is a coward. He has no soul,” said the grandmother of victim Jamie Taccetta, Mary Moran. She later turned to Laffer and said “Burn in hell.”
The wife of pharmacist Raymond Ferguson Jr. filed the negligence claim on Sept. 14. Viedya Quail Ferguson is seeking $10 million in damages, according to published reports.
Assistant DA John Collins called the execution-style shootings at Haven Pharmacy in Medford “the most cold-blooded robbery-homicide in Suffolk County history.”
Laffer and Brady were arrested on June 22 in connection with the execution-style murders of four people at Haven Pharmacy on Father’s Day.
Suffolk County District Attorney Thomas Spota revealed the grisly details of the killings Thursday and said he will seek the maximum punishment for Laffer if convicted.
