Thieves cut a hole in a wall and made off with more than $1 million in gold and jewels from a northern New Jersey jewelry store, police said.
The incident occurred over the weekend at Alpha Jewelers on Ramapo Valley Road in Oakland. Someone broke through a wall shared with an adjacent real-estate agency to get into the jewelry store, police said.
