A warning ignored is the subject of a new documentary about the Rockaways. With the Rockaways in ruins, scrawled on the wall of a handball court by the beach were the words: “John Cori Warned You.”

Hundreds Of Rockaways Residents Hold ‘Demand The Sand’ Rally For Better Storm-Proofing

The rally was held on Beach 86th Street in the Rockaways, where the devastation is still apparent more than a month after Sandy hit.
