Joseph Massino was the highest ranking mobster ever to turn government informant, having served as moss of the infamous Bonanno family.
A two-year investigation dismantled one crew of the family, including a captain, two capos, a soldier and several associates, Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance Jr. said.
