A Long Island couple has been charged in a string of armed robberies between Dec. 9 and Jan. 7 at businesses around Suffolk County.
Disabled Iraq Veteran Charles Hernandez, 50, is suing the chicken chain saying he was turned away because he brought his service dog into the West Fordham Road restaurant with him in February.
Protesters gathered outside the McDonald’s at 51st Street and Broadway in Manhattan on Monday, chanting “Hold the burgers, hold the fries, make our wages super size” and “Hey, hey! Ho, ho! Poverty wages got to go.”
Fast food workers in New York and six other cities across the country were set to go on strike Monday, on the grounds that their wages are just too low to live on.
Workers of several eateries including McDonald’s, Taco Bell, KFC, and Burger King are picketing across the city Thursday, fighting for a living wage of $15 an hour.
