East Haven Police Commission To Urge Mayor To Fire Ex-Chief

On Monday, East Haven police chief Leonard Gallo resigned less than a week after four of his police officers were arrested on federal charges of violating the civil rights of Latinos. But that isn’t the end of it for Gallo.

Dept. Of Justice Turns Up Heat On Suffolk PD Over Hate Crimes Against Latinos

After a two-year investigation, the Justice Department is urging the Suffolk County Police Department to change procedures for hate crime investigations involving Latinos. The feds cite the case of Marcelo Lucero.
