About 30,000 cases of Sabra hummus sold nationwide is being recalled due to a possible Listeria contamination.
Three organic food companies that use spinach in their food – including one affiliated with a grocery store chain that operates in the Tri-State Area — have recalled hundreds of thousands of items over listeria concerns.
They include tarts and squares made with peaches, nectarines, and plums from Wawona Packing Co. Wawona Packing recalled the fruit this week.
Kraft Foods Group Inc. is voluntarily recalling some of its Kraft and Polly-O string cheese because they may spoil and change color before the expiration date on the packages.
“Our greatest concern is food safety; therefore, we are acting with speed and focusing on plant sanitation, increased testing and food handling practices while we continue to investigate,” said Mark Reser, president of Reser’s Fine Foods.
