Police Continue To Search For Clues 1 Year After Gay Rights Activist Murdered In Queens

Louis Rispoli, 62, was viciously beaten by three men at the corner of 42nd Street and Queens Boulevard in Sunnyside on Oct. 20, 2012, police said.

Suspect Sketches Released In Beating Death Of Gay Activist In Queens

Lou Rispoli was so badly beaten in the assault that his family decided to take him off life support five days after the beating. The Medical Examiner then determined the cause of death to be homicide.

Queens Beating Victim Taken Off Life Support; Public’s Help Sought In Finding Suspects

Rispoli’s friend and Queens City Councilman Jimmy Van Bramer said Rispoli was not robbed in the attack, and urged anyone who may have seen the assault to come forward. Police have not yet determined a motive for the attack.
