Police said that a head-on car crash in Brooklyn left one man dead and two other people injured. The collision happened late Saturday on the Ocean Parkway in Sheepshead Bay.
Surrounded by dozens of cheering officers, Det. Michael Keenan was released from Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Fellow officers cheered as Det. Kenneth Ayala was released from Lutheran Medical Center. Officers said it was Ayala who saved their lives Saturday night when authorities said 33-year-old Nakwon Foxworth opened fire.
They said a red, 2001 Yamaha motorcycle went over the guide rail and fell nearly 20 feet to the lower roadway.
