Police released surveillance video that shows a suspect inside the El Carboncito Restaurant early Saturday begin to take out a machete wrapped inside an umbrella.
A neighbor said the attack started as an argument between several men inside the restaurant that spilled out onto the street.
Initially, police said three men, one armed with a machete, stormed the Crema restaurant on West 17th Street near Sixth Avenue on Sept. 12 and took a crash register with them.
Police said at about 10:30 p.m. Friday three men walked into the restaurant and demanded money.
