The head of a Long Island anti-drunk driving group said it appears more and more mothers are getting arrested and charged under Leandra’s Law.
Marge Lee, with the group Dedicatedd, said it’s very odd that in Suffolk County and in Queens, DWI arrests have increased, but in Nassau the numbers have fallen in the past three years.
A round of 100 new red-light cameras are going up across Long Island. There is no law on the books in New York that mandates camera alerts at intersections.
